Tumble Tots UK: Leaps and Bounds

Physical growth, agility and communication are top of the agenda at our weekly pre-school physical development programme, Leaps and Bounds by Tumble Tots UK.

Held every Wednesday during term time at Belmont Clever Clogs, Leaps and Bounds classes are one of the UK’s most popular pre-school physical development programmes.

Created by the company behind the popular Tumble Tots classes, the Leaps and Bounds sessions have been specifically developed for children from walking-to-school age to enhance movement, develop speech, improve listening skills, work on coordination and boost confidence.

At Belmont Clever Clogs we hold two Leaps and Bounds classes on a Wednesday between 9.30-11am; with two sessions running for ages 2-3 and 3-4.

The classes are open to all children of pre-school age as well as children who attend Belmont’s Clever Clogs Nursery.

Tiny Talk: baby sign language

Clever Clogs Nursery in Belmont has successfully been running baby sign language classes with British Sign Language teacher Carol Davies since the nursery opened its doors in 2007.

Held every Friday between 9.30-10.30am and 11am-12pm at Clever Clogs Belmont, the hour-long Tiny Talk classes encourage babies and toddlers to develop early communication skills through easy to understand signs.

We all know how frustrating it can be when a baby is crying and you don’t know why, so by teaching babies simple signs such as milk, eat, sleep and play you are able to have two way communications with them at a much earlier age, which can be a huge relief to parents.

The interactive sessions use music, toys, dance and puppets to teach children and parents simple signs to develop communication skills with one another from an earlier age.

Baby sign language helps babies develop their verbal communication skills at an earlier stage by showing how two-way communication can work for them.  Parents enjoy the social interaction with their child and the other parents gained through the classes.

To find out more or to register for one of Belmont’s Tiny Talk classes please call the nursery on 0191 384 3610.
